Agility Therapy is currently seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) or Assistant (PTA) to work at our long-term care facility in Redford, MI. The ideal candidate will have the following: Specific experience or at least some training or exposure to a long-term care and/or skilled nursing setting; experience with the Med B population; some experience within a specialized memory care/dementia unit within a nursing home; training and experience with treatment strategies with dementia and other progressive disorders; and knowledge of cognitive strategies for successful treatment with dementia population. We are seeking a therapist that truly enjoys working with the elderly. This position offers a great team atmosphere, fun working environment, and a great mentoring opportunity for newer graduates. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate that is available to work a Tuesday through Saturday schedule, but it is not a requirement. A qualified PTA candidate is a graduate from a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and will be licensed by the State of Michigan.
